Korean Pocha Style in Singapore

A restaurant that will soon become our hang-out spot! The perfect combi of dining at the rooftop + street food stall that opens till late – K.COOK! While living in Singapore, one of the things that Korean say the most to your friends or colleagues is “Ah~ Is there a place in Singapore that sells street food till late like in Korea?FINALLY! A place that CALLS for satisfaction…

First of all, a simple description of K.COOK is that their concept changes in the day and night! A whole change of menu!

It’s originally an All-You-Can-Eat KBBQ restaurant, but from 9.30pm, it changes its concept to a street food stall, or what they call a Pocha!! YAY!

It’s located on the Rooftop at Orchard Central where you can enjoy the night view while drinking some Beer and Soju!

I’m so thankful that I found this place… A menu and atmosphere that accentuates my youth… The pricing is also affordable!!

Firstly, let’s get to the point! If you watched our video on SGCT, you’ll probably have so many questions about the menu!! What kind of food do they offer? Will you find yourself going for that 50% discount in all of May?! Since we had tons of questions, we asked the Manager about the menu that just got released 2 days ago!! All of this is done just for you!

Let’s now get into the real review of K.COOK! BTW the details of the restaurant can be found below~

Restaurant: KCOOK

Location: 181 Orchard Rd, #07-01, Singapore 238896 [ Located on the 7th floor of Orchard Central ]

About KCOOK: KCOOK is famous for their all-you-can-eat meat in the day, but at night, they’re now challenging a new menu that offers an array of street food! This is something that you can definitely look forward to!!

All-you-can-eat: 11.30am to 10pm Everyday

Pocha: 9.30pm to 3am (Mon~Sat)

We actually wanted to try just a few dishes.. But since we got a 50% discount, we ordered TONS.. I think we ate all the dishes we craved!! All of us had our own different preferences but the dishes that we all thought were SO good can be found below!

1. Pork Back-Bone Stew This dish doesn’t even need a review… The meat was so tender and it was just so good! It actually serves 4 people, but 5 of us got totally full from this..

2. Traditional Fried Chicken (It really is the taste of the traditional Korean Fried Chicken!)

Before this, I’ve never seen a place in Singapore that serves Traditional Fried Chicken. Other than the fact that the chicken is already cut into pieces, the taste is definitely finger-licking good!

This is personally my type of food! My friend preferred Yangnyeom chicken so she didn’t even touch my Fried Chicken but if you’re a fan of Traditional Fried Chicken, you’re going to love this!

3. Spicy Stir-Fried Squid The best dish to complement Soju is definitely Spicy Stir-Fried Squid… The squid was so tender and meaty, it was very easy to chew! With a little bit of bitterness and crispiness, there couldn’t be another combination better than this…

4. Spicy Stir-Fried Blood Sausage I have to say that the seasoning base is similar to the Spicy Stir Fried Squid. Although it tastes similar, since the main ingredient is Blood Sausage VS Squid, it’s SO wrong to say it tastes the same. If you’ve missed eating Blood Sausage, I vote that you should definitely pick this dish.

Smoked Duck In Korea, this dish is not something I would actually even think about. But here in Singapore, it’s one of the dishes I dream of having… Smoked Duck is loved by everyone, even by those on a diet, for perhaps being one of the best dishes that complements alcohol. Just a feeling..? If you eat this with with the Moon Snail Salad, it’s a combi to die for, REALLY.. It’s a duo that is impossible to not taste good.

The dishes on the menu is really something that goes well with Soju.. Somehow I feel like business will explode with this street food concept!

WARNING: The Moon Snail Salad with Noodles will kill you with its taste! Everything is just SO GOOD, actually there’s no way it won’t! Agree?
