He stated that “the building mentioned in the reports was bought in my name before I enlisted,” and that when the purchase was officialised, “there were already tenants present, managing their respective businesses” and that he “was not able to do a thorough check on whether illegal businesses were conducted.”

To this, Daesung affirmed, “I will be taking legal action against the company engaging in illegal businesses and I will try my very best to solve this problem as the building owner.

Below is his full official statement:

“Hello! This is Daesung!

Firstly, I would like everyone to know that I am sincerely apologetic for greeting you during my enlistment with this kind of news and causing everyone to worry.

The building mentioned in the reports was bought in my name before I enlisted. As I enlisted right after that purchase, I would like to apologise once again as that could a reason for me to be out of the loop on the management of the building.

In the building you see in the reports now, there were already tenants present, managing their respective businesses. I was not able to do a thorough check on whether illegal businesses were conducted. I will be taking legal action against the company engaging in illegal businesses and I will try my very best to solve this problem as the building owner.

I am currently deeply reflecting on my shortcomings which I have realised only now.

I will be taking responsibility for all my wrongdoings. Thank you.”
