Korean air lines: What food is served are sure to strongly impress all their passengers for their in-flight meals and one of their most popular dishes in-flight is the Bibimbap which is served in First, Business and even Economy class. 

In economy class passengers can expect to dine on items such as bibimbap, bibim noodles, Gondreabap, assorted mushroom with rice and spicy stir-fried octopus with rice are served.

On flights to China and Japan the airline will also offer a local option, at the same time, they provide a snack service on long flights that offer samgak kimbap, cup ramen, pizza, and makkoli rice cakes.


Special meals require 24 hours notice and the following list is available for flights from Seoul only. Special meal offerings may vary depending on where you are flying from so best to check with Korean air lines directly, or via your booking agency. Special meals are available only on flights where in-flight meals are served; some special meals are not available on short-haul flights.

Here are some foods that will be served as special meal: Vegetarian Lacto-Ovo Meal, Vegetarian Vegan Meal, Vegetarian Hindu Meal, Vegetarian Jain Meal, Vegetarian Oriental Meal, Diabetic Meal, Low Fat, Low Calorie Meal, Bland Meal, Gluten Intolerant Meal, Low Salt Meal, Low Lactose Meal, Moslem Meal, Hindu Meal, Kosher Meal, Infant Meal, Baby Meal, Child Meal, Seafood Meal, Fruit Platter Meal and Birthday/Honeymoon Cake.

The meals served in Business Class are really similar to a meal served in high-class hotel as Korean air lines uses high-quality ingredients with dishes created by first-class chefs. Options include selected Western, Chinese and Japanese options as well as Korean menus that are paired with quality wines. Expect items such as bibimbap, Korean-style Dongchimi noodles, fresh crab marinated in soy sauce, Kalbi-jjim (braised beef short-ribs), Bulgogi with rice. Meals are paired with wines from as far as France, USA, Italy and Germany and the airline also offers Perrier-Jouet champagne from France.

How about First Class?

In First Class of Korean air lines: What food is served? Korean Air passengers will experience the airline’s Farm to Fly program. Korean air lines has their farm on the island of Jeju which provides rib eye steak, beef ribs and chicken dishes from the Jedong pastures in Mt. Halla. Other options will include Jedong Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup, organically grown paprika and cherry tomatoes. Expect traditional Korean meals, such as bibimbap, nutritious pumpkin rice, and Korean Style Dongchimi noodles.

The inflight menu will consist of several courses served including appetisers, a main course with side dishes and dessert. Wines come from as far as Bordeaux, Bourgogne and Alsace regions of France, and California, Italian, and German wines are also included depending on your destination.
